2027 Medicare Advantage plan changes by county

Many "not in 2027" plans are renumbered or consolidated into a new plan ID, and their members move automatically. That is why the second enrollment figure, which excludes changes where the same organization offers a new plan of the same type in the county, is the better estimate of disruption.

We compare the CMS CY2026_Landscape_202609.csv and CY2027_Landscape_202609.csv files plan by plan and county by county, and weight each change by CMS monthly enrollment (CPSC_Enrollment_Info_2026_09.csv). Only individual-market Medicare Advantage, MA-PD and Special Needs Plans are included; stand-alone Part D and employer group plans are not.

CMS suppresses enrollment counts of 10 or fewer; we count those as zero, so every enrollment figure is a floor. "Likely replacement" means the same parent organization offers a new 2027 plan of the same type in the county; it is a heuristic, not CMS crosswalk data. When CMS publishes the 2027 Plan Crosswalk, this page will switch to confirmed terminations and service-area reductions.
