Medicare Advantage provider search

Find a doctor from the CMS clinician file, then check which carriers list that NPI in their public Medicare Advantage provider directories. Directory results are published by each carrier, not verified by ChronosCodex.

Free: 3 searches per day without an account. Create a free Chronos account for unlimited use.

How it works

Search the doctor

By ZIP code, last name and specialty, from the CMS Care Compare clinician file.

Check the directories

One click checks the public Medicare Advantage provider directories that CMS requires carriers to publish.

Confirm before enrolling

Listed means the carrier’s directory includes the NPI. Directories can lag, so confirm with the carrier and the office.

Inside Chronos: unlimited searches, every results page, and the check from the client’s record.

Questions

Does this cover ACA plans?

No. It checks Medicare Advantage directories only.

Which carriers are checked?

Carriers that publish a public Medicare Advantage provider directory API. Carriers without a public directory are listed as not checked.

What does "not listed" mean?

The carrier’s published directory does not include that NPI today. It is not a statement about the doctor’s contracts.
