How ACA quoting works

| 1. Connect HealthSherpa | An owner or admin adds the HealthSherpa API key in Integrations. ChronosCodex checks the key with HealthSherpa when it is saved. |
| 2. Quote the household | Choose who needs coverage, add what-if people, and see marketplace plans for that ZIP and county. |
| 3. Compare plans | Carrier, metal level, network type, premium, deductible, out-of-pocket maximum and copays, with Summary of Benefits and formulary links when HealthSherpa provides them. |
| 4. See savings and cost-sharing | Estimated monthly savings, the cost-sharing reduction level the household may qualify for, and income as a percent of the poverty level, from HealthSherpa's estimate. |
| 5. Save the quote | Each quote is saved to the household with a reference number, so you can reopen exactly what was offered. |
ACA Quick Quote for walk-ins and calls
Quote any ZIP and set of ages without creating a client first, then save the quote to a household when the conversation turns into a sale.
For supported ZIP codes you can also browse the full plan catalog, priced by age or for a sample household at an income level, without spending a HealthSherpa quote call.
Only ZIP, county, ages, tobacco use, household size and income are sent to HealthSherpa for a quote. Names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers are not sent.
A warning when the area is changing
If a carrier is reported to be leaving the area, or a hospital network is being dropped, the quote screen shows a disruption warning so you can talk about it before the client picks a plan. How disruption alerts work.
